<em>The Vertebrae Pullover is a fun to knit, classic garment that transcends time. It features a beautiful vertebrae-like cable that runs up the front and back which is flanked by smaller cables and the sleeves have a cable running up to the neckline. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Originally published in Knit Now, Issue 24, Solace has been updated and re-released through my blog and Ravelry!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mHV52bUjV0U/Uqis2hIQ-vI/AAAAAAAAB4Y/Tax8WvP1bz0/s1600/solace2+010.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mHV52bUjV0U/Uqis2hIQ-vI/AAAAAAAAB4Y/Tax8WvP1bz0/s640/solace2+010.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Totally seamless, top down with raglan shaping, Solace is enjoyable to knit and you will only have a few ends to weave in!...and maybe a button to sew on! Worsted or Aran weight yarn also makes it a quicker knit than most cardigans.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dVUZQV3g3Ag/Uqis66GbCNI/AAAAAAAAB4g/BBrkWLQoqHY/s1600/solace2+017.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dVUZQV3g3Ag/Uqis66GbCNI/AAAAAAAAB4g/BBrkWLQoqHY/s640/solace2+017.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Most of that era stayed with their respective owners back over there, since when I moved to Pa, I thought it would be quite warm here (look at the latitude, my gosh, south like Lisabon!) but that's s different story... I later learned to appreciate 'the finer yarns in life' and these days I thoroughly enjoy creating unique lace patterns for shawls like my 'Ipomoea' . But honestly, I can't really say I have a favorite, I just love playing with color and texture and so I think I rotate through things I like to make, sort of seasonally! </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;"><span style="color: purple;"><b><i>Ipomoea is stunning! </i></b></span></span><br />

<em style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; text-align: start;"><b>Abernathy Cardigan</b> is a sweet little unisex cardi that is worked from the top down, seamlessly, with an eyelet yoked collar. With a stockinette stitch body & garter stitch hem, front bands, cuffs and collar, it is simple enough to show off variegated yarns nicely. Four buttonholes are worked, beginning at the top right band and more can be added, if desired. Generous ease, 2-3” (5-7.5cm), allows this to be a wonderful layering piece that is light and soft; perfect for wee babes and little ones alike!</em></div>

Meet Annie Watts....<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.333333969116211px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; padding: 0px;">
With the advent of the awesome <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/groups/indie-design-gift-a-long" target="_blank">Gift-A-Long on Ravelry,</a> I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet some really fun designers!</div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.333333969116211px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; padding: 0px;">
Introducing <i><b>Annie Watts. </b></i>You might already know her from some of her famous patterns, such as <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fightin-words" target="_blank">Fightin' Words</a> (brilliant and my favorite of her designs!) or see her <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/cryptozoology" target="_blank">Cryptozoology Set</a> that was featured on Knit Picks.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.333333969116211px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 1.35em; padding: 0px;">
Let's learn some more about her:</div>
<ul style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13.333333969116211px; line-height: 18px; list-style-position: outside; margin: 0px 0px 20px 1em; padding: 0px;">
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 3px; padding: 0px;"><i><b>What is your favorite type of item to design? </b></i><br />I love colorwork accessories the best. I've put out four mitt and three mitten patterns this year, <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-mitts-of-sisyphus" style="color: #0068cf; cursor: default; font-weight: inherit;" target="_blank">The Mitts of Sisyphus</a> and <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/medusa-mittens" style="color: #0068cf; cursor: default; font-weight: inherit;" target="_blank">Medusa Mittens</a> being my favorites. I really like to design things that will be a little unexpected!<span style="color: #4c1130;"> <b><i>I like her surprises too!</i></b></span></li>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>I really love this little poncho and my girls have worn theirs for 3 years. Willow is still able to get another season out of hers. I love garments that "grow" with the child and last through a few seasons. </i></div>

WIP's! Everyone's got 'em! I try to keep mine to a minimum, but sometimes, it is hard not to get carried away with all the ideas that plow through my head as well as the beautiful yarns out there!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have a few new toques in progress, to add to my <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hoot-toque">Hoot Toque</a> &<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/twiga-toque"> Twiga Toque</a>. I really try to create all my patterns seamlessly and with interesting techniques. Larger yarn and needles mean you are quickly gratified :) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lox has finally outgrown his <a href="http://www.littlelambyknits.com/2011/02/hoot-toque-pattern-release.html">Hoot Toque</a> after 3 years of constant wear! He has a fierce love for penguins, so a Waddles Toque was in order, or as he calls it, "Waddles Hoot Toque". This pattern should be available in December. Here is a little preview:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307617/nov_2013_037_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307617/nov_2013_037_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It is hard to see, but there are earflaps and a deeper back to the toque, a la Hoot & Twiga Toques. There are also I-cord ties with bright orange pom poms!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307621/nov_2013_041_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307621/nov_2013_041_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My next toque will also be a Hamster Toque; no photos yet!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have a very simple cap & matching cardigan pattern in the works, Baby Abernathy Cardigan & Cap. Both are in testing and will be available in December, as well. Both are seamless, simple, easy to knit up and have a vintage feel. Here is Scarlett's Cap:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307074/nov_2013_033-001_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307074/nov_2013_033-001_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sizes Preemie to 6 years!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307348/nov_2013_031_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/194307348/nov_2013_031_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Much more to come!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<em>Mrs. Warford is reminiscent of an era gone by. The low, scooped neckline, under bust gathers, fitted sleeves; small buttons and embroidered waistband speak of romanticism and simple elegance. It is a longer, mid-thigh length cardigan with a diagonal pin stripe stitch pattern mimicking the popular pin striping and bias cuts of garments from another time.</em></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1em !important; padding: 0px;">
<em>In order to modernize and make this a wearable garment for today, the shaping from the waist down is done with increases at the sides to create a more fluid, fitted look. It features sizing that is easily adjusted to fit each wearer with precision and comfort. It is begun with a duplicate stitched waistband, then knit seamlessly from the waistband up through the bodice. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches around each armhole, using short rows to shape the sleeve cap, the worked in the round to the cuff. The lower body is worked from the waistband down. It is sure to please knitters of all levels.</em></div>

I have had this beautiful yarn from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/ColourAdventures">Colour Adventures</a> for a while now and wanted to create the perfect pattern for it!</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b style="font-weight: bold;"><i>Description: </i></b><em style="font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Mermaids Lagoon is a cardigan that is worked from the top down, seamlessly and flat. It features raglan shaping, cap sleeves and an A-line shape. The upper bodice has a “pearl” pattern with a “net” waist band and “fish scale lace” on the lower body. Button bands are picked up at each front edge and buttons are applied on a little more than half of the band, beginning at the neck edge<b>.</b></em></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<em style="font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><br /></b></em></div>
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 1em !important; padding: 0px; text-align: center;">
<em>It is a quick and easy little girl’s cardigan that is a great introductory to new techniques, such as, lace, textured stitches, short rows and picking up stitches.</em></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; margin-bottom: 1em !important; padding: 0px; text-align: center;">

<i><b>Description: </b>M</i><em style="font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">rs. Hicks is worked from the top down, seamlessly & flat, in a technique called “two ended knitting” or “double sliding garter”. <div style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; margin-bottom: 1em !important; padding: 0px;">
<em>This cardigan features an overlapping, wrap style front that can be left open to drape or closed up with a belt. The A-line shape offers a comfortable fit with minimal ease & is easily customizable for length. Two lengths are included: short (top of hip length) and long (tunic length) as well as ¾ length sleeves, which can be easily lengthened. Due to the double sliding garter, Mrs.Hicks is a fairly stretchy garment that is very comfortable and versatile.</em></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-210AuVJt12o/UhIGE7rSIiI/AAAAAAAABp4/9wT8gQ_hkiw/s1600/51093220_28.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-210AuVJt12o/UhIGE7rSIiI/AAAAAAAABp4/9wT8gQ_hkiw/s640/51093220_28.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I am a little late in blogging about this wonderful pattern collection that <a href="http://www.knitpicks.com/" target="_blank">Knit Picks</a> has just released. There are several beautiful garments and a few accessories. My <a href="http://www.knitpicks.com/patterns/kyoko-toque-and-mitts-pattern-en.html" target="_blank">Kyoko Toque & Fingerless Mitts</a> are in there! They are both seamless and interesting to knit. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZpiZyEg1LgY/UhIF3kHKHuI/AAAAAAAABpQ/mGtLmk_jcW0/s1600/51093220_22.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZpiZyEg1LgY/UhIF3kHKHuI/AAAAAAAABpQ/mGtLmk_jcW0/s640/51093220_22.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
Kyoko Toque is begun at the crown, using<a href="http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring06/FEATmagiccaston.html" target="_blank"> Judy's Magic Cast On.</a> This makes the cables look like they are running from the front of the toque to the back of the toque. All the knit stitches are twisted which really helps the cables to pop! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3imjEnwj9d0/UhIF_KCh-0I/AAAAAAAABpg/vSvtcqgBsZY/s1600/51093220_24.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3imjEnwj9d0/UhIF_KCh-0I/AAAAAAAABpg/vSvtcqgBsZY/s640/51093220_24.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7WowOMEDUkQ/UhIGBFEwE5I/AAAAAAAABpo/iuKW55N-BqQ/s1600/51093220_25.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7WowOMEDUkQ/UhIGBFEwE5I/AAAAAAAABpo/iuKW55N-BqQ/s640/51093220_25.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Kyoko Fingerless Mitts are also knit in the round, seamlessly. They feature the same cables as the toque. I have knit a pair for myself in <a href="http://www.knitpicks.com/yarn-fiber/gloss-fingering-yarn.html" target="_blank">Knit Picks Gloss,</a> however, I made them into mittens. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WcR5g5c-MaI/UhIGB2m14II/AAAAAAAABpw/ZLLSerIqCEc/s1600/51093220_26.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WcR5g5c-MaI/UhIGB2m14II/AAAAAAAABpw/ZLLSerIqCEc/s640/51093220_26.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cfrk49aHKBI/UhIGI3Yi3mI/AAAAAAAABqE/QWxQbyB_ntA/s1600/51093220_29.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cfrk49aHKBI/UhIGI3Yi3mI/AAAAAAAABqE/QWxQbyB_ntA/s640/51093220_29.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Both Toque and Fingerless Mitts use <a href="http://www.knitpicks.com/yarn-fiber/capretta-yarn.html" target="_blank">Knit Pick Capretta yarn</a>, which is so soft and luxurious!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">AND, Right NOW, <a href="http://www.knitpicks.com/yarn-fiber/sale-yarn/one-week-cashmere-sale.html?intmedid=Main1--CashmereSale" target="_blank">Knit Picks is having a sale until August 22</a>, on ALL their Cashmere yarns!!! Some good friends of ours have a beautiful hobby farm that we have been able to visit a few times. It is so beautiful there and the children love it! It makes us want to get some property and go for it! There is so much to do and see; Debbie should just invite us when it is chore time :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oDjEGUxgZlQ/Ua-OYGiuhRI/AAAAAAAABl0/r73tK7vbCZo/s1600/May+2013+018.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oDjEGUxgZlQ/Ua-OYGiuhRI/AAAAAAAABl0/r73tK7vbCZo/s640/May+2013+018.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Miss Debbie is *so* patient with the kids, explaining in detail everything that goes on. She has so much energy and is such a lovely person, inside and out. I want to be like her when I grow up.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I just realized that it has been about 3 months since my last blog post. Already? Really?? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This Spring has been really busy. I have been helping The Man with the business and then knitting here and there. I have a couple of patterns to be released, a few in the works and a few in the planning stages. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here are some of the projects I have worked on over the last winter:</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/156130337/March_2013_036_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/156130337/March_2013_036_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/petiole-2" target="_blank">"Petiole" By Miriam Pike</a>. I used Three Irish Girls Adorn Sock in "Little Black Rain Cloud" & "Marmalade".</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As soon as I saw this pattern, I knew that I wanted to make it! It was fairly simple to knit and quick. I managed to finish it right as the weather was warming up and will have to get good use out of it next Fall.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164342354/May_2013_016_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164342354/May_2013_016_medium2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As I cleaned out my stash I came across some Three Irish Girls Deliciousness Alpaca and whipped this baby up. It is super soft and will be for Scarlett or Willow. I really did wing it and started with the border, picked up sts along the finished border and then worked the rest in garter st with short rows.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164342352/May_2013_013_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164342352/May_2013_013_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164341270/May_2013_019_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164341270/May_2013_019_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blawl" target="_blank">Another Blawl! </a> So easy to knit and is perfect for watching a movie. I used Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere for the body and Yarn Loves Marianne Dashwood in "Shiny Penny". I am not sure who this will be for.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164341387/May_2013_025_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164341387/May_2013_025_medium2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A February Baby Sweater in Jo Sharp Silkroad DK Tweed in "Ambrosia". Really lovely to work with; soft & tweedy. Another gift.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/151634232/misterormissusmitts_004_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/151634232/misterormissusmitts_004_medium2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My Mister or Missus Mittens Pattern has been tested, edited and is almost ready to be released! I feel strange releasing it this time of year, so might wait a month or two. I will also be updating the Mister or Missus Toque pattern to include some written directions for the chart. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164337183/yarn__014_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164337183/yarn__014_medium2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This past Autumn, I made mitered mittens for my sweet sister-in-law and a matching mitered scarf. I really love how this turned out and want to make a similar one for myself. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164337181/yarn__007_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://images4-b.ravelrycache.com/uploads/thewittyknitter/164337181/yarn__007_medium2.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Levi rocks this scarf!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><b><span style="font-size: large;">Happy Knitting!</span></b></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I have been knitting, I promise. It is slow going this winter after knitting my brains out this past Fall. I have had the pleasure to test knit for <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/people/Girlymom" target="_blank">Trisha</a> again and I am very excited to share her new pattern, <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blawl" target="_blank">Blawl.</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-B3JO2SJWJQg/UUCWuEWgt7I/AAAAAAAABjY/OaR7-mS4SI0/s1600/blawl+002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-B3JO2SJWJQg/UUCWuEWgt7I/AAAAAAAABjY/OaR7-mS4SI0/s640/blawl+002.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: center;">This blanket/shawl (Blawl; get it?!?) is worked seamlesssly from the center</span><span style="text-align: center;"> out in a simple stockinette pattern. It features a pretty, but not fussy, contrasting lace edge.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: center;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gflfKzXUvSU/UUCWtkUP48I/AAAAAAAABjQ/0_bkHFggJWk/s1600/blawl+001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gflfKzXUvSU/UUCWtkUP48I/AAAAAAAABjQ/0_bkHFggJWk/s640/blawl+001.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: center;">
I used <a href="http://www.elann.com/commerce.web/product.aspx?catID=&id=118558" target="_blank">Elann's Baby Cashmere</a> in Cream, Staright Blue & Claret. I have been saving this yarn for just such a project.</div>
</span><div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<b><i><br /></i></b><b><i>Description: </i></b><em style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'Lucida Sans Unicode', 'Lucida Grande', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">“The Autumn Road Tunic was designed with my little girls in mind. They love stripes, lots of colors and fancy details like puffed sleeves and ribbons. This cute little tunic is worked seamlessly and flat, from the neck down and then joined in the round after the buttonholes are worked. It features raglan shaping, gathers along the sleeve caps, and increases along the front and back panels. Sleeves are kept short and are gathered at the cuff where garter stitch ties are worked. The neck edge, hem and cuffs are worked in garter stitch with a contrasting color to add a pop of color. The striping pattern is optional and is great for using smaller amounts of yarn. </em><br />
