A cute little breast hat....

......I knit up the cute little breast hat as a gift for a friend's friend almost 2 years ago.  I developed the pattern and thought it would be fun to create sizes for all heads.  After all, it could work as a quirky gift for someone going through breast cancer.....

Little did I know, I would be knitting one for my own mother.

Breast Hatt pattern is now available for $4.00.  It has been clarified, centimters added, top down & bottum up instructions as well as a new Copyright.  The Copyright is like a license to sell the finished hats for charity, auction or donation.  The pattern cannot be reproduced to sell or handout.  

This hat has been immensely popular lately due to the many photos and articles circling around facebook/the net/blogs/etc.,. I have been getting many questions about it and figured I should do an update post.

Breast hats are great for gently promoting nursing, keeping baby's head toasty, raising breast cancer awareness or as a cute gift.  All of the above are reasons close to my heart :)

This hat was originally commissioned for a friend as a gift.  I made a free pattern for a knitted hat as opposed to the crochet counterpart. Yes, crochet is faster, but a knitted hat is not as bulky and alot smoother :)

The knit hat is worked seamlessly form the top down, in the round. No seaming! Just a couple of ends to sew in.

I have an Etsy Shop where I will sell finished hats in any size from preemie up to adult, in organic cotton.  Color options are as above.  $15 per hat plus shipping. Depending where you are, it could take about 1-2wks to get to you :)
