Vintage Baby Set - Knit Now Issue 15

Vintage Baby Set
Knit Now Magazine, Issue 15

Description:  Not long ago, most infants took their naps on the porch, in their bassinets or prams. My mum had such a pram that I took leisurely naps in among the fresh air and warm sun. The Vintage Baby Set was created as a throw back to that time when little ones needed a complete outfit to keep them warm and dry. It features an easy fair isle pattern and a twisted rib bodice on the cardigan for an heirloom feel.

Cardigan: Body is worked from the bottom up, flat, seamed at the shoulders. Sleeves are worked flat, seamed and sewn into place.
Leggings: Leggings have a folded waistband with an I-cord tie, knit seamlessly, in the round. Short rows across backside with a gusset. Each leg is worked seamlessly, in the round.
Bonnet: Bonnet is worked from the forehead to the crowd, seamlessly and flat. Chin strap is in garter stitch.
Sizes:  3, 6, 12, 18, 24 months

Rating: Easy to Intermediate

Techniques & Stitches Used:  Twisted sts, fair isle/ stranded colourwork, knitting flat and in the round, seaming.

Yarn Requirements:  Yarn Love's Marianne Dashwood
                                    Main Color; Allure:  3(3, 4, 4, 5) skeins
16-20 yds each of Copper Penny & Martini

Will be available as a downloadable pattern in April 2013
