Abernathy Cardigan & Cap

Abernathy Cardigan & Cap
Check it out on Ravelry!

Abernathy Cardigan is a sweet little unisex cardi that is worked from the top down, seamlessly, with an eyelet yoked collar. With a stockinette stitch body & garter stitch hem, front bands, cuffs and collar, it is simple enough to show off variegated yarns nicely. Four buttonholes are worked, beginning at the top right band and more can be added, if desired. Generous ease, 2-3” (5-7.5cm), allows this to be a wonderful layering piece that is light and soft; perfect for wee babes and little ones alike!

The delicate eyelet yoke can be worked with any other type of increase to have a more masculine look.

The Abernathy Cap is an adorable little unisex hat that is quick to knit up and works beautifully with variegated yarns or in a solid colour. It is begun at the crown, with eyelet increases in a circular pattern, then simple stockinette stitch to the brim. Garter stitch brim & I-cord ties finish this vintage style cap off sweetly!

Sweet, simple, classic style that is perfect for any little one!
Sizes:  Preemie, Newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2 yrs, 4 yrs, 6 yrs

WIP's (works in progress)….

WIP's!  Everyone's got 'em!  I try to keep mine to a minimum, but sometimes, it is hard not to get carried away with all the ideas that plow through my head as well as the beautiful yarns out there!

I have a few new toques in progress, to add to my Hoot Toque & Twiga Toque.  I really try to create all my patterns seamlessly and with interesting techniques.  Larger yarn and needles mean you are quickly gratified :)

Lox has finally outgrown his Hoot Toque after 3 years of constant wear!  He has a fierce love for penguins, so a Waddles Toque was in order, or as he calls it, "Waddles Hoot Toque".  This pattern should be available in December.  Here is a little preview:

It is hard to see, but there are earflaps and a deeper back to the toque, a la Hoot & Twiga Toques.  There are also I-cord ties with bright orange pom poms!

My next toque will also be a Hamster Toque; no photos yet!

I have a very simple cap & matching cardigan pattern in the works, Baby Abernathy Cardigan & Cap.  Both are in testing and will be available in December, as well.  Both are seamless, simple, easy to knit up and have a vintage feel.  Here is Scarlett's Cap:

Sizes Preemie to 6 years!

Much more to come!!

Don't forget about the Gift-A-Long:  25% off all Little Lamby Knits Indie Patterns from November 1-15, 2013, as well, as many other patterns from other designers!! Enter the code giftalong  at checkout!

Leanne Mittens for ME!

My sweet, India, knit me some mittens :) In one of my favorite colors; purple!  It is the "Leanne Mittens" By Trisha Paetsch (I hoped I spelled that right!).  They are a free pattern that comes with her e-book; "Grand Prairie Hats"

India used Elann's Peruvian Highland Wool Chunky in Grape heather and Noro Silk Garden Chunky.  Very comfy mitts! I love them :)

For my sweet girl, who is always knitting something for someone, I knit her a Mister or Missus Toque in Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Tweed, colour "Dill Heather".

Of course, I will knit matching mitts for her :) We just knit back and forth for each other :D

I am working on a Tree Fort Jacket right now for a sweet friends and can't wait to share those photos!

Happy Knitting!
